My Story

Hello!
I'm Jocelynn!
Hello! I’m Jocelynn, the photographer behind the lens. First and foremost, thank you for taking the time to explore my work, it truly means the world to me! It brings me so much joy to capture and preserve moments that become cherished memories.
While it may sound cliché, my passion for photography has been with me since childhood. From the toy camera my grandmother gifted me for my 8th birthday, from a point and shoot, to purchasing my first DSLR in 2017, I have always had a camera in hand. Growing up, I documented every special moment and created scrapbooks to relive them for years to come. When I realized the deep love I had for capturing the people and world around me, I knew that this was the path God was leading me on. What started as a personal passion eventually blossomed into a business, and I couldn’t be more grateful.

a look into my life
In June of 2021, I married my best friend, Zach. That spring was filled with excitement as we dove into the wedding planning process, transforming my grandpa’s machine shed on the family farm into the backyard celebration that I had always envisioned. Since then, we’ve been building our life together, running a construction company, traveling, tackling projects of our own, and enjoying everyday moments with our two dogs, Willow and Penny.
I hope this gives you a glimpse into my life beyond the camera, and I look forward to the opportunity to connect and create lasting memories with you!
your friend, Jocelynn

Wishful Moments Photography” is a name that holds special meaning to me, inspired by my maiden name, Wish. The word “Wishful” represents the dreams, hopes, and special moments I aim to capture through my photography. It’s about preserving those moments that might otherwise pass by, turning them into lasting memories. My goal is to give you a piece of your own story, one that you can hold onto for years to come.

a little about me...

Outside of photography, I’m a creative at heart, always exploring new outlets like crafting, interior design, playing guitar, gardening, thrifting, and experimenting with new recipes in the kitchen. When I’m not working, you’ll often find me outdoors, soaking up nature, whether it’s kayaking, hiking, walking the dogs, or enjoying a bonfire with my family and friends.
That love for the outdoors runs deep, shaped by my childhood on my family’s farm, where I learned the value of hard work and found beauty and joy in the simple things. Those early experiences still inspire me, and one day, I hope to have a little hobby farm of my own to raise a family on, combining my love for nature with my creative passions.
